A Tradition 4000 Years in the Making
The practice of pickling has a rich history spanning over 4000 years. Making pickles at home has been a time-honoured tradition — evoking fond childhood memories of women carefully selecting the finest ingredients, skilfully blending them, and waiting patiently for the perfect result.
Growing up in a family where pickle was an essential part of every meal, we were accustomed to a variety on our dining table. Our Grandmother's pickles were especially famous — she had mastered the art of Telangana and Andhra Pickles after being raised in Amalapuram, Andhra Pradesh, and getting married in Hyderabad.
Her recipes were passed to our mother-in-law, who became an expert in making them. Eventually the tradition was passed down to Prasanna, the Founder of The Pickle Story. Friends and family who tasted her pickles urged her to share them with the world — and so Pickle Story was born.
From Kitchen to Doorstep

Prasanna's culinary expertise extends beyond her excellent mango pickles. She is renowned for her spice powders, especially Curry Leaf powder, Idly Powder (Molaga Podi) and Idly Karam. She crafts 21 distinct types of powders and 18 varieties of pickles, each pairing exceptionally well with steaming hot rice and a drizzle of ghee. We do not use any artificial preservatives or colours.
