A Tradition 4000 Years in the Making

Homemade pickles have long been a cherished practice — where generations of women carefully chose the finest ingredients, blended them with skill, and patiently waited as flavours matured into perfection, evoking warm memories of tradition and care.

Raised in a household where pickles were an integral part of every meal, variety and flavour were always a way of life at the dining table. Our grandmother was especially renowned for her pickles — having perfected the art of Telangana and Andhra-style preparations, shaped by her upbringing in Amalapuram and later life in Hyderabad.

Her recipes, made with no preservatives, no artificial colours, or chemicals, were lovingly passed on to our mother-in-law, who mastered them with equal dedication. This culinary legacy was then carried forward by Prasanna, Founder of The Pickle Story. An initial order received from friends and family of 300 kgs proved something — people were hungry for food made with actual care. And so, The Pickle Story was born — rooted in tradition, family, and timeless recipes.

Prasanna's Mastery

The 300 Kilogram Moment

Every mango season, Prasanna distributed pickles to family and friends. When one season passed without them, the calls came: "Why didn't we get our pickles?" She took orders — they added up to 300 kilos. One realisation: people didn't just want the gift. They wanted to buy it.
