Amla/ Gooseberry Pickle

Amla Achar, Usirikaya Pachadi, Gooseberry Pickle

AMLA PICKLE is popular in most of the Indian states, at The Pickle Story we use Banarasi also known as BSR1 quality of gooseberries. The selected gooseberries are first thoroughly cleaned and each gooseberry is pierced with a fork so the gooseberry is marinated thoroughly with the spices and the chilly powder .
  • Select, best variety Banarasi/BSR1 graded Gooseberries are used.
  • The gooseberries are pickled in specially pounded chilly powder, spices, turmeric, salt a branded best quality Gingerly Oil.
  • Zero Preservatives and Zero Colours used, hence in the first few days of making the pickle one would find a dash salt extra, as this acts as a natural preservative, but once the paste in the pickle gets marinated the salt levels get adjusted.
  • The pickle is homemade, with recipes handed down from generations, we follow utmost hygiene, we also follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
  • All the raw materials are properly cleaned, tested and then used.

Bellam (Jaggery) AVAKAI Pickle

BELLAM AVAKAI - JAGGERY, MUSTARD MANGO PICKLE

BELLAM means jaggery in Telugu language, “AVA” which is mustard (in powder form) and “KAI/GAI” means a raw fruit in this case it is Mango – it is basically a pickle made with Raw Mangoes and Jaggery, mustard powder with the right amount of spices, turmeric powder and specially pounded Chilly powder, we at The Pickle Story use select “Thella Gulabi” (means White Gulabi) variety of mangoes.
  • Select, best variety of Thella Gulabi mangoes are used at the right time, the mangoes are not ripe or under grown.
  • The mangoes are pickled in a branded best quality Gingerly Oil.

Gongura Pickle

GONGURA/ROSELLE PICKLE

Gongura is known by many names viz., Red Sorrel leaves, Mesta, Ambada, Kenaf, Sour Spinach, and Roselle. It’s a very tangy leaf, having plenty of medicinal and nutritional values. The leaves are separated from the stocks and are thoroughly cleaned and pickled with spices, dried and roasted red chillies are used instead of chilly powder. It is enjoyed with steaming hot rice with ghee.
  • Select, best quality graded Roselle leaves are cleaned and used.
