RASAM POWDER / CHARU PODI

Just add the powder to boiling water and leave it to boil for about 7 to 8 minutes and then add a few curry leaves, garlic cloves and tomatoes cut into four and allow it to boil for another 3 to 4 minutes. Serve it hot with rice, idly or vada.

SESAME/NUVULLA PODI

Sesame seeds are de-skinned and cleaned and pounded with spices, roasted red chillies, cumin and salt.

• Sesame seeds are a good source of energy due to the high fat content. They contain healthy fats like polyunsaturated fatty acids and Omega-6. They also contain fiber, iron, calcium, magnesium and phosphorus that helps boost energy levels. Very high levels of antioxidants in Sesame seeds also help for anti-ageing.
