The "Rumani" is prized for pickling because its dense, fiberless pulp stays firm and crunchy for over a year. Its round shape allows for deep spice absorption, while its unique sweet-tart flavor makes it ideal for premium specialty pickles.
This proprietary blend achieves the perfect balance of heat and hue. We combine Guntur Sannam (S4), renowned globally for its fiery spice levels, with Warangal Chappatta (Tomato Chilli), chosen specifically for its deep, vibrant red color and low pungency. The result is a pickle that looks visually stunning and packs the perfect punch.
We use the heritage "A.S. Brand" (Ambati Subbanna), a trusted name since 1910. Sourced from the Godavari Delta, this oil is extracted from hulled sesame seeds, which removes the bitterness often found in raw oils. It ensures our pickles have a clean, nutty aroma and a smooth, non-greasy finish that enhances the longevity of the pickle.
Aged (cured) in its own shell before processing. This aging turns the pulp from sour-tart to a mellow, fruity acidity, providing a thick, binding gravy that coats ingredients perfectly.

Sourced from Kowthalam, a town famous for its khova production. We use fresh, unsweetened Buffalo milk khova. Its high fat content gives our sweets (like Gulab Jamun and Ladoos) a dense, creamy richness that cow milk khova cannot replicate.

The timing is so perfect as humble millets are making a comeback in the lives of people who are seeking healthier and nutritious food options. I tried both “The Pickle Story” Millet Health Mix and Millet Chocolate Health Mix in the porridge form at a family breakfast get together. The response was an unequivocal “WOW” as both the products were so scrumptious that we finished the two packets in one go! You have my family vote. I remember my childhood when my grandma use to feed us millets in different forms, especially bajra rotis with sarso ka sag that were very popular in north India. Growing up in Delhi, millets use to be our staple food during late 1950s and early 1960s. Unfortunately, due to several socio economic factors we lost out on our diverse nutritional heritage. But I am glad that there is now a movement to revive millets as there is an increasing awareness about their health & environmental benefits. Just to give an example, sugarcane requires 28,000 litres of water to produce one kg of sugar, 8,000 litres of water to grow one kg of rice but you need only 300 litres for one kg of millets like Korralu, Andu korralu, Samalu, Arikalu and Oodalu. Mr. Jaiveer, I wish to inform you that I am a regular with your other products, especially the Lakadong Turmeric and other delicious varieties of spicy powders called karam podi that tastes very different from other brands of these products that are on offer on Amazon or in the market. I highly appreciate the high standards you are maintaining of all your products with such an attractive packaging. I wish you good luck for the launch of your millet based health mix products on 6 December 2025. May The Pickle Story continues and goes on and on embarking on an upward trajectory. I have ordered pickles from The Pickle Story many times. The Avakai, Magai and Bellam Avakai are particularly good. The only pickle I didn't like was the Green Tamarind as the green chillies overpowered the tamarind .The orders are always delivered in time.Very cooperative considerate customer care .Posted on kvh artTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
